This is the world I want to build.
These are all images I made – I hope you help me build this.
Many of these ideas were inspired by Johann Joachim Winckelmann’s book “Reflections on the imitation of Greek Works in Painting and Sculpture”. The best approach we have of creating a new “high culture” is to look towards the great cultures from the past – in Winckelmann’s case, its the Greeks.
The central question I’m interested in here is “what would the greeks have built if they had access to our current technology (LED, steel beams, curved glass, electricity, etc)?”
Pablo, I just stumbled upon your stack by way of Bushido of Bitcoin's guest post on Tree of Woe.
I've actually been working on a role-playing game called "Aeon Star" which is explicitly Greco-futurist, "Greeks in Space!" Love to chat with you at some point as we certainly share an aesthetic vision for a future high culture. Your images were epic.
